TOPKAPI  PALACE

Stands on a finger of land at the confluence of the  Bosphorus,the golden Horn and the sea of  Marmara,that maze of buildings that was the focal point of the Ottoman  Empire between the 15th and 19th conturies.The oldest and the largest of the remaining palaces in the world is the Topkapi Palace , a museum since 1924. The palace is located where the acropolis of Byzantium once stood on the peninsula overlooking the Golden Horn , the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara. ( OPEN  everyday except  Tuesday.9.00 a.m ?.00 p.m ) 

DOLMABAHCE  PALACE

The facede of  Dolmabahce Palace ,built in the mid-19th century ,stretches for 600meters along the European shore of the Bosphorus.

 Open everyday except Monday and Thursday. 9.30  a.m-5.00 p.m)            

BEYLERBEYI   PALACE

Was built on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus in the 19 the Sultan's summer residence.

MOSQUES

IMPERIAL SULTANAHMET MOSQUES

The building is more familiarly known as the Blue Mosque because  of its magnificiant interior  panaling of blue  and white Iznik tiles .   Although built between 1609 and 1616 by Sultan Ahmet I ( and named after him ) the mosque is know throughout   the world as "the Blue Mosque " owing to the dominant colour of the paint and the ceramic tiles used generously to decorate its interior

IMPERIAL  SULEYMANIYE   MOSQUE

The cascading domes and four  splender  minaretes of the mosque dominate the skyline on the Golden Horn’s west bank.   A beauty outstanding even among all those domes and minarets that define the skyline of Ýstanbul, the Suleymaniye Mosque is the largest and most grandiose in the city. It facinates every visitor with the aesthetic supremancy of its interior and exterior, and its harmonious and pleasant proportions.
